Aqua Barrier
In this event task will be given to participating teams to prepare a gravity dam using clay and additives to restrict the given flow of water.
Specifications:
- the length of the dam should be 50 cm to 75 cm
- the width of the dam should be 15 cm to 35 cm
- the height of the dam should be 30 cm to 50 cm
Testing:
- No damage should be done to the college property by playing rash shots.
Dos and Don’ts:
- Minimum 4 materials should be selected for building your earthen dam.
- Design of the dam should be practically feasible.
Failure criterion:
- Seepage
- Pressure due to water failure
Judging criterion:
- Water retained by earthen dam for the maximum time
- Reliability and cross-section of the dam
